In case you missed it, the Boothbay Chamber of Commerce just announced the schedule for a new and very reasonably priced trolley service connecting downtown Boothbay Harbor with the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens, downtown Newcastle-Damariscotta and the Pemaquid lighthouse. Details below!

Here is the announcement posted by the Chamber of Commerce:
The Boothbay-Twin Villages-Pemaquid Trolley connection is alive and well this summer, with a new schedule and new name! The Midcoast Trolley is a great way for visitors and residents to enjoy the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens, downtown Newcastle-Damariscotta and the Pemaquid lighthouse.
The trolley runs Fridays and Saturdays through Labor Day weekend.
In Boothbay Harbor, the trolley boards at 10:45 a.m. in front of the Red Cup Coffeehouse (29 Commercial Street), heads to the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens, then up to Newcastle-Damariscotta and arrives at Pemaquid Point at 12:30 p.m. The return trip leaves Pemaquid at 1:30 p.m., arrives back at the Botanical Gardens at 2:30 and back at the Red Cup at 2:45.
Tickets are $5 each, round trip. Schedules are available at the Chamber office or the Downtown Information Center, or you can call 380-7201 for more information.
