This summer, I finally made it to the Boothbay Railway Village!
I was lured over by the Rails, Tails & Ales Festival where we were able to sample 10 different local beers as we explored the railway grounds and buildings. There were also 60+ antique cars on show.
The centerpiece of the Railway Village is the narrow gage steam train, which makes a 3/4 mile loop around the grounds.
Even on non-festival days, the Railway Village is a great glimpse into life in earlier days, and a real treat for kids (and adults) who like trains!
The beer festival added another dimension to our visit. There were some excellent ones, so I’m including the full brochure below so you can go out and try them all yourself! You can see the Railway Village’s full calendar of events here.
