There are two fantastic yoga studios in Boothbay that offer a range of classes and are open to students of any level, whether you’re staying in Boothbay long-term or just looking to drop in for one class. Though if you are staying in town longer, both studios have amazing deals for new students.
Yoga Firm, run by Romee May, is at the top of the hill behind the Land Trust office. Romee has 23 years of experience in a variety of schools of yoga. Her classes are generally warm Vinyasa classes.
Crow Point Yoga is a new studio in town, in a beautifully renovated studio on West Street, right in the Harbor. Sharon owns and runs the studio with the help of about ten other teachers. They offer hot Vinyasa yoga but also a whole range of other yoga classes, Tai Chi and Qi Gong.
Crow Point also offers massage.
Remember that we are also members of the YMCA, which offers several yoga and pilates classes per week that you can attend free of charge. I am a big fan of Tara’s classes.
Both studios and the YMCA offer mats, blocks and anything else you might need, so no need to bring your own unless you want to.
If you’re a yoga aficionado or just want to try something new while visiting Boothbay, I encourage you to try out any or all three of the options above. They are all extremely welcoming settings and again, all offer classes where no need to have prior experience is needed.
